Afghanistan imports hunting guns for about $ 7 million each year

According to the Afghanistan National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA), reported that over USD 7 million worth of hunting guns are imported into Afghanistan every year. These guns are mainly imported into Afghanistan from China, Iran, Italy, Russian Federation, Pakistan, Slovakia and Turkey. Customs rules & tariff guidelines say that 16% of the customs duty is imposed on the authorized guns. Companies holding import/export licenses can import hunting guns into the country. In the 'Latif Market' in central Kabul, imported guns are sold at prices ranging from 150 to 1500 dollars.
