Finance ministers of Afghanistan and Georgia interested in deepening cooperation in the field of transport

Finance Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Mr Eklil Hakimi, visited Georgia on 28-29 June to meet local authorities and discuss trade and economic issues with them. The first meeting has been held with the Finance Minister of Georgia, Mr Dimitry Kumsishvili. Hakimi had also meetings with other members of the Government of Georgia and local business representatives. Besides trade-economic relations between Georgia and Afghanistan, Mr Hakimi shown also interest in deepening cooperation in the field of transport and in those successful reforms that Georgia has been implementing in various directions. While meeting with representatives of the private sector, Afghan Minister has been introduced to Georgia’s agriculture sector and its opportunities.
