Afghanistan has many investment opportunities in various areas, President Ashraf Ghani said during his visit to Singapore

Meeting with his Singaporean counterpart Tony Tan, President Ghani said that despite that 'imposed' war in Afghanistan wasted opportunities, the country still has many investment opportunities in different field, which will be utilized in the light of technical knowledge, skills and experiences of international partners. Calling terrorism and drugs smuggling threats to security and stability of the region and the world, the president stressed joint cooperation against them. From his side, Singaporean counterpart said that his country wanted friendly ties with Afghanistan to be strengthened further. He added that countries should step up economic cooperation with Afghanistan, besides giving security support. Tony Tan vowed that Singapore would cooperate with Afghanistan in the areas of education, good governance and capacity building. In his meeting with Housing and Development Board of Singapore, President of Afghanistan was told that the board is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in the area of capacity building for employees of urban development sector of the country.
