Afghanistan could be sitting on mineral deposits worth USD 3 trillion

The total value of Afghanistan’s mineral deposits has been estimated to be between 1 trillion and 3 trillion US dollars, including USD 270 billion worth of copper, USD 420 billion worth of iron ore, concentrations of gold with an estimated value of USD 25 billion, USD 50 billion worth of cobalt, and USD 80 billion in niobium deposits.
