Three factories worth about US$ 2,000,000 were officially inaugurated in the industrial park of Herat by the Governor of Herat Mr Mohammad Asif Rahimi. Funded by the private sector and Herat’s businessmen, the three factories include one carton production plant (with cartons to be produced using recycled paper) and two marble processing plants. The new factories will provide job opportunities to over 400 Afghans.
