During the recent Italian Foreign Minister’s trip to Afghanistan, were signed three cooperation agreements between Kabul and Rome

KABUL, April 26, 2016 - Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani had a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy H.E. Luciano Pezzotti whose tenure as an Ambassador to Kabul has come to an end.
Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the Republic of Italy in various areas and for the sacrifices of Italian troops in the way of ensuring security and stability in Afghanistan. Foreign Minister called the Republic of Italy a good friend that has stood beside the people of Afghanistan in difficult days.
Afterwards, the Italian Ambassador called his tenure as an ambassador to Kabul worthy and considered good and friendly relations with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan very valuable for his country. He added that Italy would continue its cooperation with Afghanistan in different areas. He called the recent Italian Foreign Minister’s trip to Kabul, during which three cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries, as a clear sign of Italy’s commitment for continuous friendship and cooperation with Afghanistan.
