Asian Development Bank assists Afghanistan in key infrastructure projects

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), one of the largest donors to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, will assist Kabul ministries in key infrastructure projects in the transport, energy, agriculture and mining sectors. The issue has been discussed in the capital Kabul during a meeting between Minister of Finance and a delegation of ADB. The two sides also discussed ADB’s role in key national projects such as the TAPI Gas Pipeline, Kabul Ring Road and Electric Power Transmission, as well as design and implementation of key Railway projects. ADB assured will be playing an important role in the implementation of the main infrastructure projects in Afghanistan. The Asian Development Bank has already contributed over USD 4 billion to Afghanistan in the past 14 years.
