In a meeting with representatives of Paktia, Ghazni, Logar, Paktika and Khost provinces, and nomads at the Presidential Palace in Kabul, President Ghani said that funds have been arranged to start the construction of 29 dams this year. He added that 2015 was the year of Afghanistan’s survival, but this 2016 would be the year of stimulation. “Last year there was shortage of funds, the international community was also leaving the country but ultimately they have been convinced to continue their assistance with Afghanistan in different sectors,”  Dr. Ghani said.
