Tehran and Kabul cooperate in the mining sector of Afghanistan

Afghanistan sits atop an estimated
USD 3 trillion worth of mineral resources

An agreement in this regard has been signed yesterday 2nd of February in Kabul between the Afghan Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mr. Dawood Shah Saba; and Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mr. Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh.
The Iranian Minister visited Afghanistan for two days to attend the third exclusive Iran’s exhibition in the capital Kabul. More than 70 Iranian companies participated at the event along with a significant number of Afghan companies. Afghan Minister of Mines expressed optimism about the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation signed with his Iranian counterpart.
