Afghanistan Cricket Team beats Netherlands by 16 runs in ICC World T20

The Afghanistan National Cricket Team defeated Netherlands by 16 runs in a warm-up match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20. Afghanistan set a target of 153 runs for Netherland after winning the toss and electing to bat first with the opening batsmen starting the inning aggressively. Afghanistan lost its first wicket at the end of the 4th over after Noor Ali Zadran was run out, scoring 18 runs from 14 balls. Asghar Stanikzai scored 25 runs, Gulbadin Naib 23 runs, Mohammad Nabi could not score any run, but Samiullah Shenwari helped the Afghan batsmen to build a momentum after scoring 42 runs, coming in the middle order. Najibullah Zadran also could not score any run but Rashid Khan made 10 runs, Shafiqullah 24 runs, Hamid Hassan was run out without scoring any run. Dawlat Zadran remained not out after scoring 3 runs. The Netherlands batsmen could not chase the given target and only managed to score 136 runs by losing 4 wickets. Dawlat Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, and Samiullah Shenwari took 1 wicket each on the bowling side and helped the Afghan team to prevent the Netherlands batsmen to chase the target.
